This detailed picture is an original steel engraving. It was published in 1854 in "The Illustrated London News". It shows exhibits of the Museum of Ornamental Art in London. It was the first establishment to cater specifically for people with developmental disabilities. The Museum of Ornamental Art was located at Marlborough House. Depicted are a German Tankard, Italian Carved Panels, John Wesley's Teapot, Sevres & Oriental Enamels, Venetian Glass and a piece of her Majesty's Bronze. The reverse side of the engraving is a page of the "The Illustrated London News" of January 21st 1854. It would look even more beautiful when framed in a simple frame.
