This amazing set of two tiles shows very bold colors. It depicts a Double-Headed Eagle with a variation of the Coat of Arms of the House of Bourbon set in a blue box. The Heraldic Eagle & Shield is worked in a relief. The Set dates back to circa 1900-1910 and comes from the city of Sevilla in Spain.

About the double-headed eagle:
In heraldry and vexillology, the double-headed eagle is a charge associated with the concept of Empire. The double-headed eagle motif appears to have its ultimate origin in the Ancient Near East, especially in Hittite iconography.
