This amazing set of two Antique Springerle molds were made of hand carved wood. They are real beauties. One shows a Saint Nicholas or as we call him today "Santa Claus". He is carrying a christmas tree and a bag with gifts on his shoulders. The other mold has two harvest related carvings - grapes with leaves and a part of the vine and a sheaf. The carvings are magnificent and have amazing details. They date back to circa 1880-1900 and comes from Germany, Holland or Austria.
These cookie boards have been used for Cookies called speculaas, speculoos, or spekulatius, depending which country the baker resided in.
Condition: They have a beautiful patina and comes un-restored in original condition. The condition is very good. Please see Pictures
