This magnificent Meissen Plate is decorated with a hand painted flower design and gilt. It was made between 1817 and 1824. The beautiful handpainted floral design is elevated in a Relief and is completely decorated with Gilt. The beautiful pattern by the famous German Porcelain Manufactor dates to the French Empire time and shows resemblance to the much later Art Deco style. It is marked on reverse with the famous crossed sabers mark (the specific design of this mark was used between 1817 - 1824)
Measures approximately 7 1/4" diameter and 1 " tall.
Condition: It is in very good Condition. It just has a tiny little bit wear to the paint and gilt. No cracks. No visible chips. It is seldom to find a piece of this age in this good condition. (PLEASE SEE PICTURES - Shadow in the images seen is not actual discoloration, but is a reflective distortion)
This is a very impressive, first quality Plate with fantastic color and decoration.
