This Set of two beautiful Continental European High Baroque Columns come covered with their original Polychrome Color and Gilt. They are completely carved out of fruit wood and date back to the High Baroque Time at the end of the 17th Century. They have a typical baroque influenced Corinthian capital, twisted / veered / rotated Pillars with decorative Wine Stock, Leaves and Grapes in Gilt surounding the Pillar. Very typical for High Baroque Times - Most likely French, Austrian or German.
They have a beautiful patina and come un-restored with their original polychrome color and gilt. There are some smaller damages to the Polychrome Color and Gilt and some minor pieces of wood are missing. For their age and the fact that there is still a pair I would describe the condition as good anyways. (please see pictures)
