This rare and magnificent antique delft tile from the Netherlands is a true gem. It was made around 1640 and once was mounted as a fireplace decoration, or on a kitchen wall.

The Noble Man and the Servant, as well as the corner Motif was hand painted in blue. The tile was made from clay, tin glazed and hand painted in the city of Delft.

Motive: double spider corner motif

Measurements 5” by 5"

Condition: The tile is in fair condition. Some crazing and chips and repairs. (Please see pictures)
