This amazing Copper Engraving is a rare find which was published in 1717. It is a true piece of history since it shows inhabitants of Zanzibar & Madagascar at the end of the 17th Century. Pierre-Paul Sevin drew the original after which Mathieu Ogier engraved the copper plate. The depicted people are very interesting in an Ethnographic & Anthropological aspect. The engraving comes from "Nouvele Metode pour aprendre la Geographie Universele" by Antoine Phérotée de La Croix.
