I am pleased to offer you beautifully designed and finely made sugar tongs and cream ladle by the prestigious crown jewelers Peter Hertz. Distinctively Nordic in style, the sterling silver set is enhanced by colorful green, cobalt, turquoise and white enamel. The silver not enameled is further enriched by silver-gilding. Marks include; '925' for sterling, 'P. Hertz', triple tower mark with '02' below for the year 1902 and a small circular mark I cannot make out but I'm sure this is the Danish assay master's mark. Weight is ~ 1.6 Troy oz. The set includes it's original presentation box with the mark of Peter Hertz in an oval underside the lid. Also, the set was apparently a gift from a Mrs. Isaac A. Sylvester of Newton Centre due to a note on a calling card from Mrs. Sylvester (always a nice addition). A beautiful set with all the bells and whistles one could hope for. Enjoy !!!

Condition : The tongs and ladle are in phenomenal condition. Gilding slightly worn from handling, but with a nice patina. The box suffers from staining and a lot of wear and tear, but at least we still have it.
