Here we have a very rare late 19th c. perfume by the Austrian designer / silversmith Georg Adam Scheid. The crystal cylinder features cloisonné enamel on silver end caps and a design of fired enamels along the length of the cylinder. A small opening within the cylinder holds the perfume. Only one end cap is removable allowing access to your chosen scent, along with a view of the worn silver hallmarks on the end of the crystal cylinder. A beautiful addition to any scent bottle collection.
Condition : Removable end cap has wear to it's salmon colored circular point (Photo 4). End cap also shows small separation from it's bottom edge 1/4" upward (Photo 8). Although the hallmarks are worn, I have consulted with a perfume specialist who has handled two examples of this particular form and can guarantee that the perfume is indeed made by Georg Adam Scheid.
Size : 7 3/4" (19.69 cm) Long // 3/4" (1.91 cm) Diameter
