Here we have a rather amusing original etching depicting a bulldog puppy running with a bone, while his or her family looks on in surprise through an open window. The artist renders the dogs with personality and a cartoon-like appearance. Inscribed, 'original etching', lower left and illegibly signed lower right (I must admit that I haven't put a whole lot of time researching the signature). From my experience and the etching's 'feel', I give the etching an American origin circa 1930's/40's. Older framing label from an Albany, NY frame shop backside. A light-hearted, easy-to-live-with work of art.
Condition : A few scattered spots of light foxing, but nothing at all offensive. Ready to hang condition.
