This beautiful silk antique dolls costume is suitable for a doll of ca 17,7” (45cm).
The costume consists of a silk dress and a matching hat.
The dress has cap sleeves and an attached silk jacket of blue floral silk. The jacket has blue piping, a peplum and special lace, an extra special zig zag decoration and round buttons.
At the front, the dress has a faux closure with special buttons and blue striped cord.
The skirt and bodice of creamy silk have an overlay of beautiful lace. The hem has very fine silk pleats. These pleats are repeated on the sleeves.
The dress has an attached pleated gauze petticoat trimmed with lace and closes at the back with hooks and loops.
The matching antique hat with stiff upstanding brim is covered with very fine wrinkled tulle and blue bows at the front and back. The hat closes with a streamer with a hook and loop.
Both dress and hat are lined.
Measurements of the dress are : from top of shoulder to hem 11,8”(30cm), waist around 15”(38cm), shoulder to shoulder 5,3”(13,5cm). The hat is suitable for a head circumference of 10,6-12,2”(27-31cm).
All in excellent condition.
