This 8 piece Harvest Milk Glass Snack Set belonged to my mother. It is in unused, new condition. I believe Mom purchased it in the 1950s using Green Stamps. The original box survives, but in terrible condition. It was stored in our coal dusty basement for 10 years, then was transferred to our damp fruit cellar in the 1960s where it remained until now. None of those conditions effected the glass set. One of the cups retains the original gold foil sticker : Colony - In Good Taste. I have re-boxed the set in a new, clean secure box. The oval, scalloped plates have grape clusters with vines and leaves around the perimeter, measuring 10.25 inches x 8.25 inches to provide ample room for a fruit / cheese plate or dessert with room for a cup of coffee. The cups are decorated with a high relief grape & leaf pattern that repeats around 360 degrees. The cups have a 3 5/8 inch diameter at the mouth and measure 3 inches tall. The foot is 2 inches in diameter and is 1/2 inch tall. The Lancaster Colony Corporation produced the Colony Harvest milk glass pattern for Indiana Glass, but it was never sold under their name.
This would provide you with an elegant way to serve coffee cake and coffee to friends or cookies and milk at your granddaughters' tea party with dollies.
