Taverne Olympia is an original lithograph on Japon paper with a linen matte. The maitres de l’affiches were issued as separate numbered sheets referred to as plates. They were numbered with the print’s name. This one is maitres de l’affiche original 1899 plate 217. J. Cheret is the artist. Impriertic chaix is found in the lower left corner of the margin. (See photo). The framed piece measures 21 inches x 16 5/8 inches x one inch. The print itself is 12.5 x 9 inches. The linen matte is 3.25 inches wide on the bottom and top and 2 7/8 inches on the sides. The frame is 1.25 inches wide. The piece has been museum mounted with a 100% rag back. This French lithograph would be a lovely piece to decorate your home with.
