Incised florals and beadwork on a royal blue background make this Emily Partington / Jane Rumbol creation majestic. The colors and design make this jug a standout in any collection. Measurements are 6 inches tall, 2 inch wide mouth and 3 inch wide base. The manufacturer’s mark is the circular Doulton Lambeth stamp with a floral stamp inside. EP for Emily Partington is scratched in the base as is an RO for Jane Rumbol. The one inch tall banded rim alternates between rich colors of dark brown, light blue, royal blue and a dark green. The dark brown handle has a continuous line of beaded , raised dots. The top shoulder has green and gray diamonds bordered by dots on either side. The top band consists of plants and circle / dot next to the rim. The bottom field is of these same designs. There are no flaws in this 1880 piece. Only a white raised spot of clay near the spout is found and can be seen in the photos.
