Mark Twain was “The” author of the 19th century in America. This cloth doll was made by Hallmark to commemorate historical figures. The series was retired in 1979. The doll measures 7 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Dressed in a white, three-piece suit with gray bow tie. His jacket has cigars in the pocket and is reversible. Spats protect his shoes. The original manufacturer’s cloth tag is still attached. Made in Taiwan. Perfect for the teacher to pass around. My nine year-old niece and her friend loved my historical dolls.
