This set of 4 graduated gong bells were hand hammered when made. Three are a dull red with brown birds and peony blossoms. The smallest is the oxidized brass color with the decorations etched into the metal. The top bell (6 inches across) has a decorative finial simulating the petals of a blossom from which a gold silk cord is attached. The smaller bells are hung from each other by a small chain. The smallest bell is 3.5 inches across. Each bell has a 5 mm thick wall (see photo) and a high dome. These sturdy bells have been around for a long time. I am unaware of their age or origin. They would be a wonderful addition to your garden or your home temple.
