Already preserved, framed, and ready to hang for you: 1956 Disney's Fantasyland game board by Parker Brothers, Inc. of Salem, Mass. Walt Disney opened his Fantasyland for families in the 1950s to spread his dreams of joy for all. This surviving game board features images of Tinkerbell, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, King Arthur's Carousel, the Flying Dumbo Ride, the Casey Jr. Train Ride, Peter Pan, Pinochio, Cleo the Fish, and two bars of music from When You Wish Upon A Star. The paper label from the game has been preserved on the back of the framed piece. The label features small images of loved Disney characters marching into the castle which has become known as Cinderella's Castle. In the starry night sky, Mickey, Goofy, and Donald's nephews (Huey, Louie, & Dewey) flying in on Dumbo's back, his ears spread wide like airplane wings. Professionally framed by Michael's Arts & Crafts Store, the piece measures 16.5 x 16.6. The wood of the frame is a reddish brown and in very good condition. The twisted wire hanger is firmly attached to heavy metal plates securely screwed to the wood. TruGuard UB Protective Glass has been used.
