More from Why? Why Not
There is no mistaking this postcard; it is to honor Ireland on St. Patrick's Day. A map of Ireland with some major cities labeled shown in green over the shoulder of an Irish child. The child is dressed in green, carries a green hat and is waving the flag of Ireland. The message: A smile from Happy Irish Eyes To greet St. Patrick's morn. The card has a divided back with an address across the entire width in black ink. The posted card has a Boston, Mass. postmark from 1925. The cancelled one cent stamp remains attached. In the upper left hand corner is the trademark icon for the Wolfe Publishing Co. The paper is darkened and the corners are soft. The image is darling. A previous owner attributed it to Clappsaddle - I am unable to say.
