This large Valentine was printed in Bavaria in the 1920s. When the paper foot is pulled down, a dark red paper honeycomb decoration expands to pull down the other two portions of this brilliantly colored card. A little girl wearing a striped dress and a pink bonnet, looks down upon a bow-wearing puppy holding a big red heart. The background is a garden arbor with blue "berries," green leaves, red hearts and white blossoms.the foot of the card is covered in flowers with the message: "Wouldn't I make a 'WOW' of a Valentine?" The undecorated back has a signature in ink and a date of Feb. 14, 1927 noted. I can find no flaws in this precious card.
