A wistful auburn-haired beauty adorns this flue cover. An elaborate black-plumed hat tops her profile painted in a masterful fashion. She is wearing the required double strand of pearls of the fashion of the day. The glass and metal frame survives, although in only fair condition, There is paper loss in a couple of spots along the edge. A 6.5 inch chain is attached. This piece is accompanied by a free flue cover that is damaged. The paint "frame" is scaling away from the glass. The center image of a young girl is intact. Her pink bonnet is beautifully edged in white eyelet. Her blonde curls peek out beneath. She is included with the Victorian Lady because both were painted in profile. Sold as found. Each is 9.5 inches in diameter.
