Water color illustrations by Roy Best are the highlight of this 1935 children's book for me. They show life in 12 different countries through a child's eyes and activities. Their lives are described giving information about each country's topography, climate, animals, and food crops. Ethnic names and even clothing habits are part of each story. Mary Windsor is the author for "Would You Like To Know Peter?" published by Whitman Publishing Co., Racine, Wisconsin and printed in the U.S.A. This small 6 x 5 3/8 inch book is spiral bound and survives in good condition. A young Billy Arnold signed his name and address in this prize book given to him for Easter 1939. Billy thought enough of this book to ensure it was returned to him by marking it in this manner. The thick pages of this book are all intact, though darkened. The spiral binding is strong. Countries in the book are: Italy, Greece, Japan, China, Germany, England, Canada, Holland, Spain, India, and Norway.
