"Let your family enjoy the best for only two cents a week - Morton's Ionized Salt." A happy family of four is setting up their picnic spot in a grassy roadside spot on this oversized advertising postcard (7 inches x 4 inches). The iconic blue Morton's salt box is shown on a field of red as are calendars for July, August, and September 1935. "When it rains, it pours." is seen beneath the calendars. On the back is a message for the store owner on how to feature Morton salt in advertised specials. The card was addressed to the Footit Grocery, Atchison, Kansas. Printed in U.S.A. The card remains strong as do the colors of the graphics. Corners are soft. There are two holes for hanging from the ceiling fans throughout the store. Companies provided fan pulls to stores who needed a 'hand hold' to adjust the fans, it was an added bonus that customers saw the ads throughout the store.
