WOW! Wooden letter blocks in the original box with the original paper instruction sheet from 1937! The graphics are great; the word 'wood' is depicted in three different ways to indicate / emphasize the blocks are made of actual wood. Milton Bradley advertised anagrams are "for young and old." The front also has a textbox with "Copyright MCMXXXVII MILTON BRADLEY COMPANY SPRINGFIELD, MASS. MADE in U.S.A." A smaller box has the number 4288 which is also on the paper instruction sheet along with Rules For Playing The Game of Anagrams and Other Letter Games. There is a long piece of old tape supporting this double page of directions. There are at least 178 of the wafer-like wooden blocks with capitol block letters in black. The box and instructions are in fair to rough condition. The blocks are in good shape. I have a soft spot for anagrams. I would sit for hours constructing my own crossword puzzles, then transfer them to graph paper. I later used this skill in teaching science for thirty years. This is a real blast from the past.
