Signed Ellen H. Clapsaddle, this St. Patrick's Day postcard seems to have it all. It is embossed, and the glitter embellishment is from both the factory and the sender who personalized it by writing the recipient's name in glitter. A cute little boy is on an old fashioned phone saying, "Hello, the top of the morning to you." His outfit is a handsome three-piece suit complete with green top hat, white clay pipe, and shamrock cuff links. The Clapsaddle signature is within the legs of his stool. In the lower left corner is a notation: Painting only copyrighted by S. Garre 1909. The back lower left has a "Printed in Germany" stamp. The back is divided. There is a message, however, it was never posted. The card is in good, strong condition. Corners typical for age.
