This adorable winged cupid is greeting the morning from his heart-shaped window. His brick home is enhanced by blue Forget-Me-Nots growing beneath his window. Cupid is holding a string of golden hearts, the shutters have heart cut-outs, and there are two hearts joined by a golden arrow above the window. The sentiment is: "St. Valentine's Message. Cupid Promised his aid to-day, Will for me intercede,Send him not thoughtlessly away. To make my fond heart bleed." This card is fully embossed. A notation on the bottom left corner: Painting only copyrighted S. Garre New York 1910. This cupid is just as adorable as all the children on cards by Ellen Clapsaddle, but is unsigned. The back is divided: For Correspondence / For Address Only. The upper left corner has the stamp for the International Art Publishing Co. New York Berlin. The logo of the world with spread winged eagle and a pallet, brushes, & IAPC. Series 1241. The card has been addressed and postmarked. The one cent stamp remains. The card is in good shape. Corners are soft.
