My father-in-law worked for Detroit Harvester Manufacturing in Zanesville, Ohio in the late 1940s and early 50s. This fan advertising Massey Ferguson Tractors was found in his papers. D.H. made parts for Massey Ferguson tractors. The ad promises More Power! More Speeds! Greater Fuel Economy! The New Ferguson Tractor See It Now! Domer Tractor Sales Tractors & Farm Implements Baltic, Ohio. The image on this fan is a pleasant homestead on a winter day, signed by the artist, Hadland. Was it supposed to make you forget the heat? This tri-fold paper fan was printed / made in the United States by the U. O. Colson Co. of Paris, Illinois. It has 2 metal rivets holding it together. There is a minor crease above the top rivet. There is minor foxing to the paper and it has a musty odor. Otherwise good condition and unusual advertising subject. Measurements are: 7 inches tall. 4 7/8 inches wide when folded shut. 10 3/8 inches wide when fully expanded.
