Offered here for you are 2 graceful planters / wall pockets. Each is in the form of an elegant instrument; a cello and a mandolin. Each is 7.5 inches tall. The mandolin is 3.5 inches wide; the cello is 3 inches wide. The white underglaze loans a tastefulness as it only hints at their details. I can easily see these with sprigs of ivy complimenting a bookcase, piano, or a mirrored curio cabinet. Each stands alone, but each has a hole and bumpers for hanging. Each is marked Hull in cursive. The mandolin is documented in The Collectors Encyclopedia of Hull Pottery by Brenda Roberts on ages 150/151. The line is called Mayfair.
