The Roma Production Line was designed by Rudolph Lorber for manufacture by the Sam A. Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio from 1914 thru 1920. This bowl features 4 panels with ivory background on a cross hatched pattern accented with brown baskets of pink roses with green garlands framing each panel. The Roma Line is described in Warman's Weller Pottery by Denise & David Rago. This particular bowl is not depicted in any of my numerous Weller books. The WELLER stamp is impressed on the bottom. There is slight crazing in and on the bottom as to be expected with age. This low bowl, 6 3/8 inch diameter, 2 3/4 inches tall, was purchased in the Zanesville area. Good mold, good shape.
