This low bowl is considered 'white and decorated' from the Weller Hudson Line. The hand painted decoration on this attractive bowl was obviously done by a seasoned painter / decorator, but it is not signed. It is 5.5 inches in diameter and only 2 inches tall, the WELLER impressed stamp is found on the underside. This line is described in The Collector's Encyclopedia by Bob and Sharon Huxford, but this piece could not be found pictured in any of my Weller books. This piece was purchased in the Zanesville, Ohio area, home of Sam Weller's Pottery Co for many years. The good price I was able to pay is reflected in the low price to you. I personally knew the man who owned this collection. There is a glaze skip on the black band of the rim, as shown in the photographs.
