This impressive Van Briggle vase stands 7" high by 8" across the handles by 7" in diameter. It has a wonderfully handsome Arts & Crafts handled urn form. There are embossed stylized leaves, cloaking the collar, a design by Anne Gregory Van Briggle in 1909, shape number 756. It is glazed in Van Briggle's signature deep Mulberry glaze, which is a rich berry color, blushed with a deep purplish-blue over the leaves, a very nice glaze combination! This vase is well marked on its base with the cojoined AAs, and VAN BRIGGLE in capital letters, along with Colo. Spgs., dating this vase to the late 1920s. We altered the contrast in the closeup photo of the mark to make it easier to read. It is in factory mint condition, with the usual glaze nuances, and a glazed over indentation on the under belly, which we show in the photos. This large vessel is a very handsome 1920s example of Van Briggle Pottery, you will not be disappointed!
