This gorgeous Weller Sicardo vase stands 5.5" high by 7" across by 5.75" wide, a nice billowy pillow-like form. Best of all, this vase is decorated with stylized frilly Peacock feathers, which lie over a busy well-executed dotted pattern, like tiny, minute bubbles covering the entire vase, in a very nice presentation. It is exceptionally glazed in a deep, ruby red ground, with gold, purple and turquoise hues, with a ruby red interior. There is no glaze burn on this vessel, a jewel from tip to toe. The Peacock feathers, which float over the surface of this raving beauty, have a distinctly gold and purple iridized presentation, which changes with every turn of the vase. This vase is well marked, shape number 37, along with the name 'Weller' and 'Sicard' on the lower side, as can be seen in the photos, and guaranteed to be vintage Weller Sicard. This beauty is in excellent condition, with a superb restoration to a small surface chip, a two tiny glaze nicks on the inside rim. If you like great examples of Jacques Sicard's work, this vessel, with a 'go ahead, pick me up' attitude, will knock your socks off!
