This impressive Rookwood Production vase stands 6.5" high by 3" in diameter. It has a nice slender form. This vase was exquisitely designed by Miss Sara Sax. It is carved and decorated with stylized holly berry and leaf trees, one on the front and one on the backside. The foliage trails around the sides, meeting up to canopy the entire top of the vessel, a great design element that looks like it was carved onto the pot. The glaze color is shaded in green over rose blush, which thins at the high points accentuating the design beautifully. It is finished to a flat satin matte. This vessel is well marked and dated 1918, a great period for Rookwood Production pots. It is in mint condition, no apologies.
