This New Art Pottery vase stands 6.5" high by 5.75" across by 5" in diameter. Tim Eberhardt designed a series of different Snake and Frog vases in the 1990s through to the early 2000's. He titled them 'Art Saves A Life'! Each one is better than the next, having great forms and characteristics, each being a one-of-a-kind. This one is no exception. It is glazed in a handsome lavender glaze, speckled in mossy green, in a very organic presentation. The snake, which wraps around the pot, is glazed in black and brown. The Frog, which sits in the bottom interior of the vase, makes a rather whimsical presentation. It's obvious the Snake is tangled up, and cannot reach him. This vessel is signed by Tim in his classic style, and it is dated 11.4.95. It bears a stamp 'Collection of Ed Henderson', who was an avid early collector of Tim's pots. It is in studio mint condition, no apologies. If you collect Tim's pots, this one, from a prized collection, will fit in beautifully!
