This impressively large Weller LaSa vase stands a respectable 11.5" high by 5.5" in diameter. It has a classic full-bodied form, with a tapered rim. This vase is adorned with a fabulous landscape, with a large and imposing stylized Japanese Maple tree, with twisting and meandering branches, and full leaf head clusters, a very unusual decoration for Lessel. The tree dominates the landscape, which looks to be by a large lake, with a hilly terrain in the background. The etching is exquisite on this pot, particularly in the details in the leaf swirled clusters on the tree, simply beautiful! Best of all, it is glazed in a rainbow of rich iridized colors, making for a gorgeous presentation! This vase is marked 'Weller LaSa' on the lower edge of the artwork, and guaranteed to be vintage Weller. It is in factory mint condition, with some generalized wear from handling over the years. There is a deeper red glaze spot by a small glaze skip, which is factory in origin, and shown in the photos. We apologize for the shadows in the photos, which is from camera glare. If you like Weller Lasa and John Lessel's style, and his fabulous glazes, this large vessel is beautiful!
