This Raku vessel stands 5" high by 4" in diameter. It is a design by Austin Ceramics, and is signed Austin on the base. It was in a collection of contemporary pottery from the Indiana area, a collection that was acquired beginning in 1970-2000. This raku-fired vase is hand thrown, and hand-fired in the traditional raku-firing method. The glazes are rather stormy and organic, in a light peach and green glaze, with all the characteristics of a raku vessel. It is in studio mint condition, no apologies.
