Hasegawa Sadanobu III (1881-1963), 'Maiko, Girl Playing Hand-Drum'. This woodblock print depicts Maiko(an apprentice Geiko performer in elaborate brocade kimono)playing with a hand-drum in Spring. This original print has crisp detail and wonderful colors, with deep saturation of color. This original woodblock print was first published c1930, and this version is c1950, during the artist's lifetime. This print is unframed, and measures 11" high by 8.25" wide.
