This Hokusai print depicts a Ferry boat loaded with festive passengers on their way to celebrate their New Year. There is a story board, likely a poem, 'Surimono', which may indicate that this print is one of the series 'One Hundred Poems Explained by the Nurse'. This print measures 9" high by 12.5" long, including the margins. It is in excellent condition, no tears or holes, and just a tiny bit of foxing in the lower right margin. It bears Hokusai's Kanji cipher and a series and title box in Kanji script, along with a publisher's seal in the right margin. Originally published c1835, Print c1950
