This Charles Greber miniature vessel measures 3.25" high by 2.5" in diameter. It has a very handsome form, corseted at the waist, with pinched sides. Greber Pottery has a long and heralded history in France. Charles was born in 1853 in Beauvais, France. He worked with his father, also a potter, until his father's death in 1899. He started his own pottery around that time, and enjoyed success in his Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs until his death in 1933. This stoneware vessel is glazed in a wonderfully organic and stormy blended glaze in blue, green and brown, with great character to the glaze. It is marked on the base, albeit hard to see. This miniature bauble is in factory mint condition, no apologies. This handsome Greber pot would make a fine addition to any collection.
