This beautiful Lenox Belleek Ceramic Art Company hand painted and decorated vase stands a tall 12" high by 5.5" across handle to handle by 4.5" in diameter. It has a classic and elegant form on a narrow platform base, with a trumpeted rim, and ornate handles flanking its sides. It is a bolted vase, with a metal flange on the interior rim, which connects the base portion to the vase. We expect it may have been bolted to serve as a lamp. This vase dates to 1889-1906, based upon its mark. The hand painted decoration is beautifully executed with Wild Rose blossoms and buds covering the entire vessel, a gorgeous presentation! This trophy-like vase is glazed in shades of creamy yellow blushed with green and brown tones, and very complementary colors in the blossoms, which are beautifully executed. The handles, which are very ornate, add to this vessel's already lovely presentation. It is marked Belleek on the bottom, along with the Ceramic Art Company logo, and the artist's palette mark. We cannot find any artist initials. This beauty is in excellent condition, with a good restoration to the base rim edge. There is some staining on the interior base, seen in the photos, but it is not noted on the exterior. If you collect Lenox Belleek Ceramic Art Company vases from this period, this is an impressive, large and lovely example!
