This is a beautiful pair of opera glasses, circa 1890-1910, with a sturdy lorgnette expandable handle. The glasses themselves measure 3 7/8 inches long, 2 3/8 inches tall, and 1 3/8 inches wide. The handle, with the expansion, measures 8 inches long. The glasses adjust the focus nicely. The lenses, mother of pearl facade, and other brass and white metal parts are in excellent condition, with no dents, breaks, warps, or losses. The bridges between the lenses are stamped "Made in France," and the possible number "6.6" (this is indistinct.) Also, around each eye lens is "Picard Fabt. Paris." There are expected signs of very light wear. There is no case.
