This is an interesting sterling silver souvenir spoon, manufactured by TH Marthinsen, of Norway, and so marked on the back of the handle. It measures 3 3/4 inches long and weighs 7.6 grams. The oval bowl depicts an open door and inviting fire place within. The spoon is undated, but we estimate that it was made in the mid-20th century. The International Institute first opened its doors in 1914. The condition is excellent, with no dents, warps, inscriptions, or other problems.
