This beautiful and ornate lemon fork bears the French Minerva stamp for .950 silver, and the mark of Henri Soufflet, who manufactured silver items between 1884 and 1910. We estimate that this fork was made circa 1890. The workmanship is exquisite, with one mask at the end of the handle on the front, and a second mask on the reverse where the handle joins with the tines. The tines have a gold wash, and the handle has delicate cut-out spaces. The fork measures 5 1/2 inches long. The overall condition is excellent, with no dents, warps, monograms, or breaks. The weight is 21 grams.
