This circa 1930s/40s brooch has a hinged lid, within which can be mounted a photograph, or other tiny keepsake. The lid is comprised of a bezel-set oval cabochon which is a gray/black, banded agate, or obsidian. The base of the brooch is a filigreed frame. On the reverse, it is signed, "Sterling, KAG, Mexico, 925." The condition is excellent. There are no chips or cracks in the stone, nor are there any dents, warps, breaks, or losses.
