This unusual sterling silver pendant is in the form of a cross. There are five gemstones, all bezel-set, with twisted wire and beads added for further adornment. The oval, cabochon gems are two garnets, two lapis, with one round moonstone in the center. All stones are natural. The ovals measure 8 mm long, and the round is 6 mm wide. The length of the pendant is 1 1/2 inches including the ring at the top. The condition is excellent. There are no chips or cracks in the stones. There are no dents, warps, breaks, or losses in the metal work. The pendant is stamped "925" on the reverse, and the tab next to the spring ring clasp on the fine chain is marked "925" also. It is unsigned by the maker. We believe this item was made in the late 19th century, or the early 20th century. The weight is 6.1 grams.
