This diminutive, yet elegant band is prong-set with 5 diamonds in pave fashion. The band is size 7.25, and each diamond measures approximately 1.5 to 2 mm wide. Each diamond is single cut. The band at the top is 3 mm wide, and at the base is 1.5 mm wide. There is a faint impressed design on either side of the row of diamonds, but normal wear has nearly obliterated this detail. This ring was worn and loved, although there is no engraving on the inside of the band with the exception of "14K," and "AR" (the letters conjoined as the maker's mark.) We could not identify the maker, but the design and wear lead us to estimate that this ring dates from the mid-20th century at the latest. More likely it is from the earlier 20th century. The weight is 1.3 grams. The overall condition is very good, with no dents, warps, chips, losses, or breaks. This ring is lovely to wear as an accent piece with other more flashy rings, or by itself to grace a slender hand.
