This sterling silver bracelet has one hand-carved shell panel depicting a different scene for each day of the week. The silver mounts are framed with a gold-washed wire twist, enhancing each rectangular picture. Each panel is 17 mm wide by 13 mm wide, and 5 mm deep. Each panel is attached to the next with silver links. The bracelet is 7 inches long and is equipped with a safety chain that is 2 3/4 inches long. The clasp works very well and is stamped "925" on the slide. The condition of this delicate bracelet is excellent. There are no chips or cracks, breaks, dents, or warps. This bracelet would have been made in the first half of the 20th century, quite probably brought to the US from Italy by a returning serviceman after WWII. The panel depictions are as follows: Monday: Diana; Tuesday: Mars; Wednesday: Mercury; Thursday: Jupiter; Friday: Venus; Saturday: Saturnus; Sunday: Apollo.
