This 19th century decorative platter was made by and is signed on the reverse by Griffin, Smith & Hill. It measures 10 1/8 inches long, and 6 5/8 inches wide. The condition is very good, with only a few fleabites in the rim just under the outside edge, and a bit of glaze loss in the center grapes. There are no other chips, and no cracks. There is fine, light crazing. This is a very nice example of early American majolica.
