This beautiful celadon-glazed, pottery vase measures 4 3/8 inches high and 2 3/4 inches wide. It has the shape of an Asian brush pot, but may have been used primarily as a vase. It is decorated all around with incised flowers. The applied decoration around the base resembles bamboo stalks. The vase appears to have been made by hand, with the slightest irregularities in the rim. The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The glaze leaves a soft translucence at all edges. It is unsigned, so we are not certain if it is Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. We believe it was made in the early to mid-20th century.
