This beautifully hand-painted child's mug measures 2 1/4 inches tall, by 2 5/8 inches wide (not including the applied handle). It appears to be a lovely piece of early 19th century soft-paste porcelain, with no chips, no cracks, and no crazing. There is slight loss of the pink lustre on the rim, from normal use, but otherwise the painted colors are in wonderful condition. We estimate that this item was made circa 1830; there are no signatures.
