This early (pre-1800s) celadon dish is hand-painted in shades of rose, green, and brown. It measures 3 1/2 inches wide, by 1 1/2 inches high. It has a barbed rim, with no chips around this rim. The base also has a rough edge, with only one possible minute chip in the unglazed edge. It is possible that this is actually part of the original roughness of this edge. There are no other possible chips noted, and no cracks. There are no signatures. Some of the painted surface has worn over the years, making it slightly less vibrant in some places.
